Regional English Language Officer

  • Responsible for Department of State-sponsored English teaching activities in a country or region.
  • Use English language programs to introduce democratic institution-building and international standards of business ethics.
  • Design and administer exchange programs.
  • Develop English teaching materials.
  • Conduct English language seminars or workshops.
  • Promote greater understanding of American language, society, culture and values.

Information Resource Officer

  • Provide professional guidance and direction to Information Resource Centers located at U.S. Embassies within a specific geographic region of assignment.
  • Counsel Mission officials on effective Information Resource Center resources and services.
  • Assess staff development needs and carry out regional training programs.
  • Demonstrate and promote U.S. electronic information resources to Mission and host country audiences.
  • Establish contacts with host country library and information institutions.

Printing Specialist

  • Provide overall supervision of prepress department, including electronic layout and design, imagesetting, rotary drum high-end scanner, litho camera, film assembly, Matchprint proofing, etc.
  • Work closely with printing plant manger on schedules, workflow coordination, and color approvals.
